As ethical Goldendoodle breeders, we firmly believe that Guardian Homes are an essential component for our dog breeding program. We are committed to ethical breeding practices and guardianship homes are a crucial part of the commitment. In order to give the dogs the best life Guardian Homes are essential.

A guardianship home is a unique arrangement where a puppy is placed with a family free of charge as a beloved  pet, but the breeder retains breeding rights. The Guardian home family also receives additional compensation per litter if they have a female. The dog lives with a loving family as a cherished member of the household, but the breeder has the right to breed the dog once they are at sexual maturity. For females sexual maturity begins at 2 years old and ends at 4. Females will be picked up a week before birth and stay in our home until she fully weans the puppies. 

Golden Life doodles pays for all breeding expenses including the spay/neuter cost. The Guardian Home is responsible  for regular pet expenses which includes routinely vet visits and grooming.

In order to qualify as a Guardian Home you must...

• Live within 2 hours of Houston, Texas

• Provide a loving home

• Provide the dog with basic obedience training 

• Have a fenced yard

• Feed our recommended diet (Purina Pro Plan)

• Understand the responsibility of being a Guardian Home, we are waiving the purchase price in exchange for a service. We expect Guardian Homes to communicate with us regularly and provide us with updates.
